Ella is a Hydrologist serving the Berkeley and Santa Cruz offices. She supports the installation and maintenance of hydrological monitoring equipment, as well as the monitoring of streamflow, among other hydrological assessments. Ella has a background in working with permit processes related to groundwater resources in Sweden. She has gained experience in collecting and analyzing hydrogeological data to assess groundwater quantity and quality, which has involved designing and performing a variety of hydrogeological field investigations. Her deep interest in sustainable development led her into the field of Geography, which explains the complex interaction between the environment and society. During her graduate studies in hydrology and hydrogeology, Ella deepened her knowledge in modeling and geographical information systems, analyzing rainfall-induced soil erosion in Sweden. When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her road biking in the Santa Cruz mountains or exploring new hiking trails.
