Brian Hastings, M.S., Geomorphology/Hydrology
Brian Hastings is a hydrologist and geomorphologist experienced with state and federal agencies in several western states. He assesses channel stability, restoration programs, supports water-rights evaluations, and conducts paired-watershed research to evaluate management practices after wildfires or urbanization on channels. He conducts many of Balance's programs to minimize construction-period effects on streams and wetlands, including innovative de-watering and biotechnical designs, following up with construction observation and monitoring.
