Our practice focuses on analysis of watershed, channel, ground-water, and wetland dynamics. Our diverse clientele includes managers of large land holdings, district or agency staff, and engineering, environmental or law firms seeking our specialized expertise.

We provide our clients with rigorous analyses that are usually based on an intensive field-based approach to quantify the dominant processes presented. Typically, the analyses also include modeling, mineralogic or isotopic tracing, historical studies and policy evaluations. We often team with biologists, engineers, and environmental specialists to provide the practical solutions to complex environmental problems. If we were to describe our niche in three words, it would be "Site Specific Hydrology".

Balance staff have nearly 200 years of project experience. The firm has won a number of professional awards and research grants.
